How To Help Your Baby When His Teeth Are Moving (Good Advices)

The first tooth can hurt a lot. Here you get knowledge about tooth eruption and good advice on how to soothe the pain when baby is in pain due to teeth.

Just as big it can be experienced for us as parents when the first tooth appears in the mouth of our baby, just as annoying it can feel for the little one when the tooth erupts from the gums. Baby drools, she wants to put things in her mouth all the time, and sometimes she may also have trouble eating.

The first baby teeth can appear already when the baby is four months old. They usually appear at the age of six to seven months, but for some it takes longer and the teeth hide completely until the child is up to one and a half years old. Some children are born with a tooth, but this is very rare.

The two middle incisors in the lower mouth usually come first, while the last deciduous teeth that appear are the posterior molars. They most often appear between the child’s one and three years birthday. The milk tooth set consists of a total of 20 teeth, and it is very rare for children to miss some of them.

Signs That The Tooth Is On Its Way

Just before a tooth erupts, the gum usually turns white and feels a little hard, and at the cheek teeth, the gum can also become a little lumpy. A red or bluish, swollen and irritated gum can also be a sign that a tooth is about to erupt.

Some doctors believe that it is due to a local inflammatory condition when the gums and gums around the incoming tooth become red and irritated. Others tend to think that it is bacteria from the oral cavity that penetrate through the small opening opening and may be contributing to the baby’s symptoms.

As I said, being a baby with teething is not always easy. And in addition to eating disorders and itching on the gums, irritability, insomnia, diarrhea and red buttocks can be signs of bad teeth, as they call it.

The child can also get a slight fever, but if the temperature is above 38 degrees for more than one day, it is never due to tooth eruption. Then it is a sign of another disease, and you should consult your doctor.

Good Advice For Pain At The First Teeth

When your child is crying and whining because he is about to get teeth, you should of course comfort a little more than usual and puzzle it more often if the nuisance consists of red buttocks and diarrhea. In the past, it has been recommended to give the child a little chamomile, for example in the feeding bottle, as this can have a calming effect, but due to the unwanted substance PA, the World Veterinary and Food Administration today (2020) recommends that babies and young children under three do not consume chamomile tea. In general, dentists do not recommend anything other than water and milk in feeding bottles.

Itching and irritation of the gums can be partially remedied with a bite ring, which works best if it has been in the fridge. And also refrigerator-cold cucumbers can be good for the baby when the sore gums need to be rubbed. But remember that you must not give the small child food or things that have been in the freezer. And even if you want to relieve your toddler pain, you should never give painkillers to a child under two years of age without talking to your doctor first.

There are local anesthetic ointments and gels, which are available over the counter and can be applied to the gums to soothe. However, these products are not recommended by dentists, as the amount can be difficult to dose and the child risks swallowing the cream.
